Exporting PDF Documents
Avanti offers you the facilities to export your reports and documents as PDF documents. When you select to export your report or document to a PDF you will be given a window to make some settings about the PDF document you are exporting. Please note: If you are exporting multiple PDF documents in a batch, you will not be presented with this window.
Export
On the Export tab you can define how the PDF document is exported. This includes which pages you want to export (All is the default) and whether you want the document to be compressed for minimum size, to embed the fonts used in the document itself (increasing file size) and whether you want it to be optimized for printing. Also, you can specify if you want to open the document immediately after exporting using the Open after export checkbox (ticked by default).
Information
On this page, you can provide a title, the name of the author, a subject, and other information you want to assign to the document to describe it. Some of this information will be filled in for you by the software by default, for example, the Author of the document will be filled with your company name etc.
Security
This page enables you to provide some security for the document, for example, by specifying passwords which will be required by your recipient in order to open the document. You can also make some settings to limit what the end user can do with the document; for example, can they print it, can they modify it, and can they copy information from it to paste elsewhere.
Viewer
On the Viewer page you can make some settings about how the document viewer is displayed when the document is opened. For example, if you want to hide menu bars in the window when opened, etc.
When you have made your settings click the OK button to proceed with the export or click Cancel to abandon the export.
